Scholarships for Indian Students at London Metropolitan University in UK, 2016-2017


London Metropolitan University is inviting applications for scholarships for Indian students. Scholarships are available for pursuing undergraduate and masters programme in September 2016.
London Metropolitan University is teaming up with the British Council to offer a total of five partial scholarships in support of the UK Government’s GREAT campaign, the most ambitious international campaign ever to showcase the very best of what Britain has to offer. The GREAT London Metropolitan University Scholarship – India 2016 is designed to help outstanding applicants from India, who have never before studied in the UK, to study at London Met. They are proud to offer a range of partial scholarships for both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
Applicants must have an unconditional/conditional offer to study an undergraduate course or a taught, one year master’s course at London Metropolitan University. For undergraduate partial scholarship (Bronze) and for postgraduate partial scholarships (Silver) applicants must have an overall IELTS score of 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each component or SELT equivalent and for postgraduate partial scholarship (Gold) applicants should have an overall IELTS score of 7.0 with a minimum of 6.5 in each component or SELT equivalent.
Course Level: Scholarships are available for pursuing undergraduate and masters programme.
Study Subject(s): Scholarships are provided within one of the following faculties: Guildhall Faculty of Business and Law (undergraduate) and Sir John CASS School of Art, Architecture & Design or Faculty of Life Sciences and Computing (postgraduate).
Scholarship Award:
Undergraduate partial scholarship – (Bronze)

This partial scholarship will award one outstanding applicant £5,000 to cover his/her tuition fee for the first year only. The remaining tuition fee as well as maintenance costs have to be funded by the student.
Postgraduate partial scholarships – (Silver)
This partial scholarship will award three outstanding applicants £5,000 to cover his/her tuition fees. The remaining tuition fees as well as maintenance costs have to be funded by the students.
Postgraduate partial scholarship – (Gold)
This partial scholarship will award one outstanding applicant £10,000 to cover his/her tuition fee. The remaining tuition fee as well as maintenance costs have to be funded by the student

Eligibility:Undergraduate partial scholarship (Bronze)-To apply applicants must:
-Have an unconditional/conditional offer to study an undergraduate course at Guildhall Faculty of Business and Law in September 2016.
-Have over 85% in X and XII or equivalent.
-Have an overall IELTS score of 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each component or SELT equivalent.
-Be a national of India with international (i.e. non-UK/EU) fee status.
-Not have studied in the UK before.
Postgraduate partial scholarships (Silver)-To apply applicants must:
-Have an unconditional/conditional offer to study a taught, one year master’s course at London Met in one of the following faculties: a. Sir John CASS School of Art, Architecture & Design or b. Faculty of Life Sciences and Computing.
-Have over 70% in a Bachelor’s degree from a good university from India.
-Have an overall IELTS score of 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each component or SELT equivalent.
-Be a national of India with international (i.e. non-UK/EU) fee status.
-Not have studied in the UK before.
Postgraduate partial scholarship (Gold)-To apply applicants must:
-Have an unconditional/conditional offer to study a taught, one year Master’s course at London Met in September 2016.
-Have over 75% in a Bachelor’s degree from a good university from India and 75% above in X and XII (consistent academic grades).
-Have an overall IELTS score of 7.0 with a minimum of 6.5 in each component or SELT equivalent.
-Be a national of India with international (i.e. non-UK/EU) fee status.
-Not have studied in the UK before.
Nationality: The students of India can apply for these scholarships.
College Admission Requirement 
Entrance Requirement: Postgraduate applicants should have a good undergraduate degree, an equivalent qualification or relevant work experience.
English Language Requirement:For Undergraduate partial scholarship (Bronze) and Postgraduate partial scholarships (Silver) applicants must have an overall IELTS score of 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each component or SELT equivalent.
For Postgraduate partial scholarship (Gold) applicants should have an overall IELTS score of 7.0 with a minimum of 6.5 in each component or SELT equivalent.

How to Apply: Students who have a conditional offer when applying for the scholarship must submit all the required documents to meet any conditions of their offer by 19th August 2016.
Scholarship Application Deadline: The application deadline is 22 July 2016 for September 2016 intake
