Vice-Chancellor’s International Attainment Scholarship in UK, 2016-2017

Queen’s University Belfast is now accepting applications for Vice-Chancellor’s international attainment scholarship. Scholarships are available to undertake undergraduate, postgraduate taught and postgraduate research programme at Queen’s University Belfast.

Queen’s University Belfast today is an international centre of research and education and a major part of the fabric of Northern Ireland.
Queen’s University will continue to accept the IELTS Academic (both SELT and non-SELT), and TOEFL internet-based tests for direct admission to undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes, if taken within the past two years.
Course Level: Scholarships are available to undertake undergraduate, postgraduate taught and postgraduate research programme at Queen’s University Belfast.
Study Subject: Scholarships are offered in diverse fields to help students in upgrading their education.
Scholarship Award: The scholarship will comprise:
Two full fee international scholarships are available to exceptionally talented International fee rate students who will be starting their full-time undergraduate studies at Queen’s University Belfast in September 2016.
Two full fee scholarships are available to exceptionally talented international students who will be starting their full- time Master’s degree programme at Queen’s University Belfast in September 2016.
A full fee scholarship will be awarded to an exceptionally talented international student who will be starting their full-time postgraduate research programme at Queen’s University Belfast in September 2016.

Eligibility: Scholarships are available to undertake undergraduate, postgraduate taught and postgraduate research programme in diverse fields to help students in upgrading their education, Scholarship criteria is:
-Students must be classified as international students paying the international tuition fee rate in order to be considered for this scheme. Students paying NI/GB/EU fees are not eligible for international scholarships.
-Students must hold an offer for a place on a full-time undergraduate and postgraduate taught programme at the Queen’s University Belfast campus, starting in the academic year 2016-17 and meet any academic and language conditions attached to their offer as stated in their offer letter.
-Students studying on a part-time basis, on foundation degrees or distance learning programmes are not eligible for these scholarships.
Exclusions
Non-standard fee courses, including Medicine, Dentistry, Agricultural Technology, Theology, PG Certificate and PG Diploma programmes, and MTh Theology.
-All Distance Learning programmes, foundation degree programmes and non-standard fee courses.
-External PhD programmes where students only undertake part of their research at Queen’s University.
-Higher Doctorates – Doctor of Divinity (DD), Doctor of Laws (LLD), Doctor of Letters (DLitt), Doctor of Science (DSc), Doctor of Science (Economics) (DSc(Econ)), Doctor of Science, (Education) (DSc(Ed)) and Doctor of Social Science (DSSc)
-PhD programmes by Published Works
Nationality: International students are particularly encouraged to apply.
College Admission Requirement
Entrance Requirement: Applicants must have degree transcripts for all periods of study they have completed.
Test Requirement: No
English Language Requirements: Universities have discretion to choose the methods by which they assess the English language competence of students.  Queen’s University will continue to accept the IELTS Academic (both SELT and non-SELT), and TOEFL internet-based tests for direct admission to undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes, if taken within the past two years. 
Supporting Material: To make sure application is processed in the fastest possible time, applicants should scan and upload the following supporting documents along with their application. Applicants may not be able to make a decision on their application until they have received all their relevant documents. Please provided good quality scanned copies of the following:
-Degree transcripts for all periods of study they have completed (undergraduate level and above). These documents show their grades for individual units studied throughout applicant’s degree.
-If applicants’ degree is still in progress, they must also provide a transcript. These can be requested from their University.  Please include the grading scheme if this is included on their transcript.
-Copies of official Degree/Diploma Certificates, for the qualification/s have already completed. These are the documents that confirm the level and title of qualification/s, for example, Bachelor of Science in Mathematics.
-Certified translations, if original documents are not in English. If applicants do not have translations at the time of application, please forward by email when available.
-Research proposal (for MPhil/PhD applicants only).
-English language requirements: International and EU applicants will need to show evidence of an acceptable level of proficiency in the English language.
How to Apply: The mode of applying is online. Please note that applicants must use the 8-digit application number found on their offer letter from Queen’s University Belfast. Invalid application numbers will not be considered.

Application Deadline: Application deadline is 8th June 2016 for undergraduate programme and 15th May 2016 for postgraduate taught and postgraduate research programme.
