Postgraduate Scholarship in Structural Engineering at University of Sydney in Australia, 2016

University of Sydney is now accepting applications for postgraduate scholarship in 2016-17 academic year. Scholarship is available for postgraduate degree programme in structural engineering.

A full-time postgraduate scholarship is available for an enthusiastic candidate with a good honours degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering to undertake research studies leading to a PhD in Structural Engineering.

Course Level:  Scholarship is available for high achieving students applying for entry PhD degree programmes at University of Sydney.

Study Subject: Scholarship is tenable in structural engineering at University of Sydney.

Scholarship Award: The scholarship is valued at the APA rate ($26,288 per annum in 2016, tax exempt, indexed annually), and may be renewed for up to three years, with a possible extension of 6 months, subject to satisfactory progress.

Eligibility: To be successful, applicants must:
– have an excellent academic track record, including an honours degree in civil engineering or mechanical engineering or a qualification considered equivalent;
– meet The University of Sydney’s PhD entry requirements which include English language skills;
– apply for full-time enrolment as a PhD candidate in the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technologies, The University of Sydney, commencing Research Period 2 (March 2016), and be supervised by Dr Mike Bambach;
– be Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents or New Zealand citizens.

Nationality: Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents or New Zealand citizens are particularly encouraged to apply.

College Admission Requirement

Entrance Requirement: Candidates should have a good honours degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering to undertake research studies leading to a PhD in Structural Engineering.
