King’s India Scholarships for MPhil/PhD Research Degree Program in UK, 2016
King’s College London is offering, ‘King’s India Scholarships’ in 2016-2017. Scholarships are available for full time MPhil/PhD degree progammes.
The aim of the King’s India Scholarship is to enable and encourage academically able students from India.
The objective of King’s College London is to manage the student life cycle from admission to graduation to ensure a coherent and seamless student experience and effective administrative process.
If applicants’ first language is not English they must be able to provide recent evidence that their spoken and written command of the English language is adequate for the programmes for which they have applied.
Course Level: MPhil/PhD research degree programme at King’s College London during the 2016/17.
Study Subject: Scholarships are offered in diverse fields to help students in upgrading their education.
List of Subjects: Dental Institute; Faculty of Life Sciences & Medicine; Florence Nightingale Faculty of Nursing & Midwifery; Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience; India Institute; and the Faculty of Natural & Mathematical Sciences
Scholarship Award: Scholarship covers international fees, bench fees (at £5K) where applicable & stipend.

Eligibility: Applicants must meet the following guidelines:
Open to residents of the following countries: India
-Be due to commence an MPhil/PhD research degree programme at King’s College London during the 2016/17 academic year in one of the eligible Faculties/departments
-Eligible Faculties/departments are: Dental Institute; Faculty of Life Sciences & Medicine; Florence Nightingale Faculty of Nursing & Midwifery; Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience; India Institute; and the Faculty of Natural & Mathematical Sciences
-Be citizens and permanent residents of India at the time of application
-Have submitted all the required application materials by the funding deadline

College Admission Requirement
Entrance Requirement: Applications for joint PhD programmes must be approved by both King’s College London and the University of Hong Kong before a formal offer can be made. As such, the process may take longer than for a single PhD programme. Students are able to apply for the scholarship whilst their application is being considered in order to meet the set deadline.
Test Requirement: No
English Language Requirements: If your first language is not English you must be able to provide recent evidence that your spoken and written command of the English language is adequate for the programmes for which you have applied. The level of English language you are required to demonstrate is dependent upon the programme for which you have applied. The level of English required for each programme is denoted by a five-band system, each band corresponds to a level of English language competence.
Supporting Material: A complete admissions application, including all necessary supporting documentation such as transcripts, references and English test results (if applicable).
How to Apply: In order to be considered for an award, candidates must:
-First, apply to King’s College London for a research degree programme using the online admissions application
2)Submit an online international student PGR funding application form to the Graduate School by the funding deadline of 16:00 GMT, 29 January 2016. Note that this should only be done after you have applied for admissions.
Please Note: students who have already applied for admissions, and those who previously applied but deferred entry to 2016/17, will NOT be required to submit an admissions application again.
